Classic Hospitality invites you and your guests to enjoy a truly unique way to experience the Cheltenham Festival — aboard our magnificent At The Races Express steam train. Departing from Toddington Railway Station, this exclusive journey whisks you directly to the rear of the main Grandstand at Cheltenham Racecourse, bypassing all the race-day traffic and offering a VIP arrival like no other. Think of it as a Grand Prix helicopter experience—just with vintage charm and steam-powered elegance.

Begin your day in the peaceful, nostalgic surroundings of Toddington Heritage Steam Railway Station, where the atmosphere is brought to life with live music from our traditional Irish band performing on the platform. Step aboard beautifully restored vintage carriages and settle into first-class comfort for a stress-free, 35-minute ride through the stunning countryside of the Cotswolds, Malverns, and Vale of Evesham.

Every guest enjoys allocated seating with access to a table inside of their carriage —perfect for laying out your Racing Post and making those final race-day selections. A full cash bar is available on both the outbound and return journeys, offering tea, coffee, soft drinks, Guinness, lager, wine, and Champagne - all table served at your request. For a more exclusive experience, private six-seat first-class compartments and full private carriages for larger groups are also available—please contact us for details.

You'll arrive relaxed and in style at Cheltenham Racecourse Station, located just a furlong from the Paddock and opposite the North entrance. As you steam past the lines of cars queuing to get in and out of the racecourse, you'll realise just how extraordinary this journey really is—a stylish, seamless, and thoroughly memorable way to travel to the UK’s greatest National Hunt festival.
